The times, they are a changin'

While the time that I spent working with the trade, and in wholesale tradeshops, all my life was great and wonderful experience over all I always resented the clerk's abhorant lack of product knowledge and that they are very little interested in general about understanding what they sell. I have had retail clerks write up jobs based on such little understanding as to make it a joke, and the one that is laughing really is the owners and corporate managers, for the windfall triple keystone (300%) markups of all the catalogs and items you are shown make it a safe bet in the long run. It's a shame that the jewelry industry has fallen so far, into poorly constructed price point jewelry from off shore, that the corporate buyers just love for the cheap price... When you walk intomost stores just know that it's the profit that matters the most, and the promises at the counter mean little in the end. Now we start over, on the web and with determination to make a difference. We work for the greatest psople on earth now, and we enjoy working with them directly very much.

I guess that when I decided to write this site for the retail jewelers of the world it never dawned on me that the real people, the general public, would virtually blow our doors off. We know that you are tired of spending a small fortune and getting garbage in the pretty bags, so now we try something entirely different. Here the voices on the phone are master union craftsmen calibre, and the projects that you see defined and built in the pages are for real people, not the corporate machine. Dare to compare, and you will see that the platinum hand engraved ring we build for $1000 will be $2500 in any store, and the quality we work to is vastly superior to the factory hacks that hand together commercial jewelry in the thrid world countries.

Many thanks to the paranoid short sighted retailer, I know who you are by the way, for giving me the gentle push I needed, to change the world in a small way and make quality and value in fine jewelry and diamonds a reality in the world of the internet... ...god knows it's absent in your store and the malls. Here's one for the real people... This one is for you! Just remember all those times we bailed you out of a jam, and how many times you asked for a rush same day job saying "there won't be an extra charge for this will there?" AAAaaahhh to you I bid farewell and remind you that you were the reason I did this in the end, the motovation that it took to see that the small minded dorks like you who think they can dictate other's lives, and that somehow the threat of taking your lame work elsewhere was inmportant... ...it was of "no" importance at all, just as are you to us... Just polish that jewelry case in your empty store and enjoy the silence... You deserve what you get, you earned my utter distain by hard work... Enjoy it greatly. {Grin}
