For the record:
I sold my interests in Oregon's Largest professional union wholesale tradeshop to avoid a serious conflict of interest, I wanted to be free to work with real people. As long as I serviced the retail jewelry industry they had a hold over the activities, and realizing that those retail accounts would not likely support their competition, I wouldn't either folks, for it was not reasonable to assume they would not see this is against their interests "BIG TIME". For me it boiled down to being free to serve the needs of real people over the needs of the "machine"... That in summary is what we have done, we've brought the best of the shop to the web.

The real problem was that in serving the store owners, and corporate accounts, they could pull their work at any time, which would completely destroy my ability to serve your needs. One must after all decide their scope of business, and act accordingly... I have responsibly and thoughtfully decided internet is my home, and I've designed a wonderful business where top quality and value are enjoyed by all... Imagine that!

After weighing my continuing to work for the retail jewelers, against working with "real people", and the promise of the web, I've decided not to support "the machine" any longer. Kim does indeed maintain this wholesale only stance, but I felt it was time to leave, since as long as a single retail store is serviced by the shop there exists a serious conflict of interests, potential uncertianty and I'd never expect a retailer to support their competition. They cannot... Imagine that!

Our business is dedicated to personal service, and caring. We personally inspect all the diamonds we sell, and offer both a higher level of service and experience than our competition, who are basically marketeers dedicated to profits and building their business's. We're pre-occupied with building our client's dream ring, and offering more for less. We're not yer average store :)
