To build, to dream, to make wonderful things is what Ray is
all about!
Ahhh the early days. We started our shop in 1973 because there
basically was not a quality alternative shop with really top flight
craftspersons at the bench, so we saw a real need in the market
place for a shop where the retailer could get full service and
honest value. Now I closed the door on that chapter of my life
to bring the same dedication and vision to the web, and you...

Ray is resolved to make a difference, and does personally with
his own hands.
This is a very early day shot, and the person at the counter is
"Kris Clark" who featured a line all over the nation in the Zales
Guild Division stores, such as Zell Bros in Portland Oregon, Sexties
in Boise Idaho and all the top end stores in the chain. We always
know the value of quality personel, that hasn't changed. I loved
my shop, and working at the bencheach and every day working on
the tough projects and most demanding things... I admit that my
love is of the craft, of the products, and of the people... For
me I never started off with this idea of great success, for I
guess that I am a small minded person who measures success in
a person well served, in an email from a person just brimming
with joy... Hey, many laugh at me for what I do and being different,
I laugh at them for being all the same, and perhaps that is the
root of the real difference in the end between Tradeshop and other
merchandizing companies... I make things you can take pride in,
and I take pride in, and there lays the difference...
"How can I be of service to you?"
