If you are reading this customer comment you are really considering working
with Mr. Ray Elsey. Ray is an anomaly in the Jewelry Business. He is
extremely patient, honest, creative and produces the highest quality product
that I have ever seen.
I stumbled across Ray's page in August of 96. Like every Web Surfer I entered
"Diamonds" into the Alta Vista search engine. A plethora of sites that sold
Diamonds were returned, but Ray's site was the most creative, informative and
cool. I spent days reading all the content on his site. I learned the 5 C's
from Ray, who Mr. Towolsky was, and what all this means. Finally my curiosity
was peaked so I called Ray. He was friendly and encouraged me to have faith.
Ray was trying to hunt down an old European diamond for me. I wanted to make
an Antique ring for my girlfriend.
Well, a month went by and Ray called me.
He began explaining that European Diamonds are usually found in Antique pieces.
I understood this since I was looking for one myself for about three months.
Ray began educating me in why I should consider a new modern round brilliant
cut diamond. I agreed that he was right so he was back on the search. I
placed some pretty stringent constraints on Ray (Price,Size,Color,Clarity) and
he never backed off.
While Ray worked tirelessly on my request, I started
contacting everyone on the customer comments page. I called his bank, the
union, consumer affairs, the Portland Chamber of Commerce and anyone else that
might know about Associates Jewelers. No one had a sour thing to say about Ray
and in this business this is a good sign. Well, Ray sent me an e-mail that the
stones where in but I still felt weird about sending my hard earned money to a
man that I never meet before. So I got into my car and drove three hours to
meet with Ray and checkout the stones.
Well to say the least the stones where
more beautiful then anything I had seen locally Ray was cool, his shop is
amazing and he made me feel like the most important customer. I gave Ray the
green light to proceed and he made me the happiest person in the world. He
produced a work of art for me to give to me beautiful girlfriend. When I
proposed she could not believer her eyes.
If anyone has doubts about Ray call me and I will make you a believer.
