Engraved
with a strong pattern and deep etching so that the design is quite
able to withstand wear and tear while looking great all the while.
A fan style patttern to the sides with a textured center area.
The
platinum ring set with diamonds and sapphires has a strong bold design
engraved with the absence of millgraining so the edges are much softer
and rounded.
Ray
engraved the engagement ring and now we are carving a wax to make
the wedding ring and complete the set. This style Ray calls the "Roman
Laureal Leaf" design, which well describes the floral suggestion
in the body of the shank.
This
set is very fun, the engraving Ray did was involved and detailed,
and transforms the wedding set into a very elegant and detailed result.
Millgraining adds the special touches that make this set fantastic
and lovely.
Ray
set the stones and engraved this ring as he finished. The way that
the engraving and texture transforms the ring into a delightful heirloom
is clear.
This
is what Ray calls the Roman Laurel Leaf design, a classic form. The
engraved roundells and pronngs add termendous detail and depth to
the design. Most excellent example of Ray's handywork here..
This
ring features hand engraved prongs and roundells as well as a fully
involved millgraining and detailing for that very elaborate hand engraved
look and feel. The way the engraving adds a hand worked and delicate
design to complete the feel and design.
This
ring shows the Roman Laureal Leaf design again, note the split prong
tips and the detailed engraving that blends and transforms this ring
into a dramatic work of art. Here the ballence of metal to stone provides
a wonderous canvas for engraving
This
engraving project was fun, the strong and lasting engraving technique
will have this ring looking sharp for decades. Very minimal millgraining
make this ring a very special example of how detail is like frosting
on a cake, making it wonderous.
Here
is a ring that Ray hand engraved and we are makaing a wedding ring
to match. Note how the millgraining and engraved prongs adds just
massively to the result, and of course when hand engraved the ring
becomes more than just a metal object, as it gains character.
This is a ring that Ray
both designed as well as did all the work on. This is again a variation
of the Roman Laurel Leaf style, which really makes the difference
here. The detailed millgraining and elaborate engraving is deep and
bold, for a very durible and lasting result.
Diamonds and sapphires
in warm 18Kt gold are amazing enough but add a detailed and fine engraved
design to the ring and it takes on a certian air and classy nature
that is the mark of good taste and elegant design.
Ray can take a band ring and in one sitting transform
it into what you see here, and note that the millgraining and the
detailing are such that it will last decades, as Ray's style imparts
a much deeper design into the metal.
This ring would be striking indeed even with
a polished shank but note how the design and the detailing transforms
it into a very interesting and detailed ring, with massive interests
and a strong cool factor. I really enjoy hand engraving and the look
of it.
As
founder of Tradeshop no way can I set and not do the work, for it
is the work that sets me free and reminds me why I love the jewelry
business. This is a design I did for this delicate amethyst bagguett
ring.
At
times I wish will all my heart that I was born a few hundred years
ago, when jewelry like this was created. This is platinum and I set
all the stones, engraved and detailed the item part way to finished.
Details make this piece what it is, exciting and dramatic!
Even
in the very limited space of less than 2.5mm one can engrave a very
detailed and very sophistacated design which gives the piece an additional
layer of coolness and interest. A very excellent example.
The
ring is engraved by Ray over the roundells, and the prongs, for a
very strong and very lasting design that adds a texture and feel to
this ring that are special. Created for this as a canvas this ring
feels elaborate and very refined.
This
is a ring that is bold and very strongly engraved to great effect,
the upper rail which holds the diamond is split for a double millgrained
top, which blends down in a tapering Roman Laurel Leaf texture down
to the back of the ring. Note over the side a line is cut to divide
and border the patterned engraved areas.
This
is another variation of the Roman Laurel Leaf design that I have engraved.
The tips of the prongs are split into three, and the millgraing and
enngraving richly appoint the prongs as well. Engraved to last decades,
and more!
Ray
engraves this as he sets the stones, and indeed even though there
is very little room on the narrow shank the engraving adds so very
much to the very delicate and lacey nature of this ring. Low and sleek,
aand beautiful with the stones framed by the textures.
Ray both set this ring and engraved it as well, with a strong design
that is suggestive of floral and millgrain to segment and border the
elements. A custom ring that was designed to be a bold expression
of cool and elegant, with a very satisfying flavor.
This
ring takes on a very detailed and almost soft look as the deeply engraved
design shimmers. Millgraining and detailing up the prongs and across
the surfaces gives this a hand worked elaborate flavor.

Here
is a ring Jerome engraved. You will note the delicate scrolls and
fine detail, how the space is quite filled with fine hand engraving.
Jerome is very skilled, has been engraving for decades and more.
Jerome
also engraved this ring, in platinum with a texture like finish rather
than scrolls and more traditional elements. This is a good one to
see, hit the small thumbnail to see a bigger shot.
This
ring incorporated Pave' diamond setting, which blends into the texture
of the engraving for remarkable effect. The closer you look the more
details come to be seen, and that is the mark of fine engraving to
me.
Here
is a ring that features scrolls and fine traditional engraving technique,
with millgrain outlining the design area and defining the engraving.
Very harmonious!
Engraved
with a floral theme that meshes with the scrolls and fine detail,
again bordered by millgraining and a very bold and detailed ring is
born. You can have your existing ring engraved too.
This
ring and design shows the classic scroll and elements that weave to
make a super fine result. Note the floral element on the sides of
the ring, and richness of detail? The engraving completes it well.
For
the bold and dramatic this ring says it all. Very detailed engraving
makes this ring very special, and the way the diamonds blend into
the design is just perfect too. Low, sleek and exciting.
A
standard band ring can be engraved to take on a look and feel of a
very detailed heirloom, and this one shows what a nice set of scroll
work and designs can do with the standard band ring, transforming
it into a wearable work of art.
Jerome
is an artist, and here he takes the surfaces and adds great detail
and shading for a sweet and dramatic result. The more delicate style
of engraving adds a wonderful textural feel to the ring, and completes
the ornate look.
A
pair of eternity rings gets Jerome's very special engraving. The way
the sides engraved makes this ring feel so much more than a polished
surface can, adding drama and detail.
Jerome
engraved this design in a detailed and elaborate pattern that is like
lace. The way the shank is engraved and the intricate and details
of the design weave makes this ring a very good example indeed for
Jerome.
Detailed and very very elaborate this ring is
fully involved with a design that features scrolls and profound detail
that transform these rings into a very dramatic and exciting personalized
wedding set. A sophistacated flavor here.
Inspired by a Mideval
design in my celtic rings gallery this ring engraved with a suggestive
floating heart like design tapers and tightens as it works it's way
down to the back of the ring, adding great detail and interest to
this ring.
A very detailed set of three rings are engraved
to a fine state, where the detailing and the design adds greatly to
the interest of the rings. I think that the engraving adds a great
deal here, which makes the set very special.
Wider
bands are great for engraving, and as you can see it changes the feel
from a simple band into a wearable work of art. This is a loose design
of sweeping scrolls and elements which make this ring unique in the
world.
I suppose
that while the bigger picture tells the story very well I want to
explain how the floral elements arae mixed with scrolls for a very
involved textural design, and a marvelous result.
This
ring is a collaboration of Jerome for the sides and Ray for the setting
and the upper stage where the design is transformed into a floral
suggestive texture, with millgrain which adds an exciting flavor and
feel.
Jerome
added a design that is bordered with millgraining and is suggestive
of a wheat straw texture. The wax shown was carved to make the wedding
ring, and the ring will match in every way, engraving and the same
body shape.
A
warm 18Kt gold shank and a lovely diamond in a crown were transformed
into a wearable work of art, which consists of shaded areas contrasting
elegaant scrolls and curves.
Three
rows of the clients diamonds from an old ring were used to create
this wonder-ring. The Engraving is aa floatinng heart element flanked
by millgrain and scrolls, segmenting this ring to sync with the top
and flavor of the theme. Ornate and detailed, tailored and more.
A
band ring is transformed into a very unique object, with the borders
as the factory polished edge to contrast with the elaborate hand engraved
design that runs the center of this ring.
Based
on a design from my mideval gallery this ring is engraved with a looping
heart design with the sides a radiating and ornate engraving of a
floral nature. I liked this ring so much that I wanted to place it
here before I set the diamond, for it is the ring that is the thing...
This
ring was set by Ray and then Jerome does his most amazing thing. Laying
out the design to radiate from the center of the ring and to frame
the diamonds the textures and details added remind me of the way light
is scattered by the diamonds, for a very sparkely and ornate feel
and look. Excellent flavor here!!!
Jerome
is a masterful engraver indeed and here he combines scrolls and millgrain
to great effect. With the design inspired on the sides by floral themes
and a very lovely unique ring is born here. Custom can be perfect!
