Dear Tradeshop Gang
After a very busy day I have the time to sit and write...we are getting
ready for our vacation so a lot of last minute running around.
It was the perfect day on Friday for the delivery of something so
personal at work. Both the attorneys were out of the office (for the day)
and I really wanted to open the package without anyone around (It would have
been impossible to wait until getting home to open it with hubby there)
I
had totally forgotten I had made an appointment for the accountant to stop
by to close out 1997. Well you guessed it, the package arrived and it had
to sit on my desk, unopened until he left. It felt good just knowing it was
so close and the last few hours were well worth the wait. Even though I was
by myself, I kept saying "Oh my God!" over and over and over again.
The
rings felt like they were finally "home" as soon as I slipped them on. What
I never even discussed with Ray is how much I've always love millgrain and
my stones set into the band look wonderful. It is the ring I pictured in my
mind for so long, I am so glad I went with the 2 carat(hubby talked me into
that). I would take my prong set earings and set them next to the
baguettes, with an emerald cut in-between, and try to imagine how it would
all come together. I no longer have to imagine because it now sits on my
finger. The eternity band is the icing on the cake.
Today I drove back to the town we moved from to stop in and show a fellow
emerald cut lover my new treasure. We bumped into each other in a jewerly
store in town 2 years ago (she had also been a customer of mine years ago)
when we were both trying to have emerald cut rings made with czs. We both
loved the same style setting and wear size 5. She was never able to get the
ring made and I had a simple 1.5 carat with side baguettes in white gold
built for me. I had stopped by to show it to her and she loved it.
Well...today I knew who I would pass that ring on to(it would have stayed in
my jewely box...it was meant to be worn and loved) I love jewelry and other
jewelry lovers have a kinship that is hard to describe. I though she would
think me strange for offering her the ring (I don't even know her name) and
so I asked her only the price of the setting charge...not the price I paid
for the actual ring. She told me she would have easily paid me more...I
just felt wonderful when she said I had made her day.
I can't make beautiful jewelry like you guys do but I felt a little
thrill making someone, who loves this type of ring as much as me, as happy
as I am. I passed on your name and web address to almost everyone in the
shop today...they all loved my two new rings.
My husband saw the tennis bracelet in platinum when he was looking at
your "current web work" and is already saying that will have to be the next
project. Who am I to argue with him :)
Please use my name, email address, this letter and pics of the rings to
show all future customers... there really are people who care and love
jewelry as much as us dreamers...

p.s. keep an eye out for a special gold wrapped package...YUM!!!!!
