The very best cuts on planet ready to ship!
When you're considering purchasing a fine diamond you will quickly find that the prices vary greatly. You're not buying the store name, or even the supposed free cup of coffee or stuffed toy from Hong Kong, so you should pay attention to gaining a bit of product knowledge to help you along the way. Don't pay a premium for a "Name" folks, for it's the data on the lab reports and price which are important, names which carry a premium are not!

It's possible to purchase a $2,500 diamond for $4,500 or more in every city in the world, the trick is to buy it for less. If a stone is offered as a split grade, or without a certificate from a major gem lab, like GIA,EGL or others, you must assume the stone has not been accurately graded yet. Since one grade in color or clarity can turn a great deal into a very poor one you must always compare "apples to apples" in all the diamonds you consider. Always compare folks, the prices you'll see for the same thing will vary tremendously in the real world, so just remember that words mean nothing, it's the price and the line items on the lab reports which matter in diamonds. I've seen non-certified 0.25 "H-SI1" Quarter carats sold at over a thousand dollars each, and also for less than $300, so to say you need to compare prices is sort of an understatement... Buy smart!
Always check references people!!!

If you ever wondered how diamonds are graded and sold within the industry, and want to understand better how we determine the value of diamonds, I invite you to explore my "practical person's guide to the four C's". Small differences in color and clarity make "huge differences in price", so remember that the lab report/certificate helps you to establish "Accurately" the grade of the diamond, and comparison will help you to determine the value, if it's there or it is not! Remember that thousands of stones are bought and sold on the cert data alone, so don't accept a free cup of coffee of a stuffed toy from Hong Kong instead of the best price on a quality diamond worth the having. If yer being shown colors lower than "H" or clarity lower than "SI1" then you'll love this site, we give you that data to avoid garbage not worth having! For it's not quite as simple as it might seem... Let's take an example, shall we??? :)

For example, let's take a carat size diamond, round brilliant, in an "F-SI1"... Set the cut specs at let's say, 64% table and you have a stone that is substantially discounted from what a well cut "F-SI1" would be, add strong blue fluorescence and you further denegrate the value... You see, the point I'm trying to make here is that "the cut is the thing" folks, for it focus's and maximizes the diamond's beauty as surely as focusing a telescope makes the image sharp and bright. So if we offer you a 57% table, 60.0% depth and the color and clarity you want, consider you have just purchased a superior diamond, and you've just saved a fortune too :) If offered a "Screwy Cut" just remember this modest example.

Most stones offered these days are poor cuts which are discounted greatly, so the more you know about diamonds the better you will do evaluating and quantifying the value... I checked a few days ago and the spread between a 1.99 and a 2.00 Carat stone (no difference in diameter or appearant size) in a "G-VS1" added $2,000 per carat for the extra point. ...and remember that this was a 2.00 Carat so it was around $4,000 Impact difference in the costs of the two seemingly identical diamonds!!!! Buy Smart!

But enough of that, words mean nothing, credentials, references and price mean everything. Just remember to bookmark our page and locating your perfect diamond is a snap! Unless you have money to burn you'll love these pages! I'm working on a quicktime movie, of shadow people and lovely classic music (if you really must have it) but you can choose to download that or not, and still save a fortune... I was told by a good friend that I should "Romance the Diamonds", but I've always disliked substituting emotions for cut specifications. Knowledge is Power, be more powerful... Eric oughta get a kick out of that quicktime movie idea :)... It's not that I'm not a romantic folks, it's just that it's at this time you need to use logic, and specific facts, the most... {Grin}... So I give them to them up front... Information you can really use!
